Ban on iron dents Goa revenue

The ban on the export of iron ore has hit the revenue of a minor port owned by the Goa Government. The ban was imposed a year ago. The port authorities´ said that their proposals for alternate cargo are not fetching the projected results. The port is located across Goa´s capital city Panaji. This year, the predictions were to collect Rs 25 crore as it expects mining activity to resume.
