Cuddalore port's capacity expansion proposal deferred

The Centre's environment advisory body has denied clearance for Cuddalore Port's capacity expansion plans. The proposal, aimed at importing more coal, fertilizer, cement and other clean cargo, was reportedly deferred because of inadequate information submitted to the Union Environment Ministry's Expert Appraisal Committee (EAC).
