DFCC to set up more than 100 stations

The Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation (DFCC) is planning to set up more than 100 railway stations and terminals along the 3,360-km-long corridor connecting the eastern and western coastline. The Rs 814.59-bn project will dissect nine states and 60 districts. There will be 48 stations and junctions along the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) and 58 in the Eastern DFC. Additionally, it will also have 15 private sidings, 12 private freight terminals and 10 goods sheds to handle over 300 mn tonne of traffic.
