Goa Government has plans to develop the city´s roads and highways. For this purpose, Highway 17B, a four lane highway project from Old Goa to Panaji, has been launched by the government. In addition, the state government also plans to construct a 11-km flyover across Chimbel creek. The four lane 10 km stretch of NH-4A is expected to be completed by May 2015.
