The operator of International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) at Vallarpadam, DP World along with Kerala Chamber Exim Forum (KCEF) is carrying out various initiatives to woo exporters from Tirupur terminal in Tamil Nadu. The move is expected to help increase the volume of exports through the terminal. KCEF has plans to visit Tirupur soon in order to convince exporters that ICTT is taking more business-friendly steps.
In fact, the forum is actively looking at business towns such as Tirupur or Coimbatore. The terminal handles 2.5 lakh TEUs of cargo every year.
