During the year 2012, Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JN Port) handled over 4.2 mn TEU cargo despite facing several odds. The port faced impediments such as time lossfrom the installation of new quay cranes and the congestion situation on the roads leading to the terminal. While APM Terminals Mumbai (GTI) handled 1.94 mn TEU, Jawaharlal Nehru Port Container Terminal (JNPCT) and DP World Nhava Sheva (NSICT) registered throughputs of 1.189 mn TEU and 1.082 mn TEU, respectively.
