Railways eyes Rs.500 bn revamp of 50 stations

The government will award 50 stations for redevelopment entailing an investment of Rs.500 bn in 2020-21. The station redevelopment initiative of the Indian Railways has drawn interest from Indian conglomerates and foreign pension funds. The railways will issue user development fee, which will fund the upgradation of railway stations.
