Vizag Port expansion timed for 24 months

Visakhapatnam Port Trust´s expansion plan will be completed by Visakha Container Terminal Pvt Ltd in a timeline of 24 months. The trust signed a concession agreement with the VCTPL under the PPP mode in December 2014. Due to delay in grounding the project, the cost of extending the terminal is said to have increased from Rs 850 crore to Rs 900 crore. Once all clearances are obtained, the timeline set for completion of the project is 24 months.
