AAI invests in Jalgaon airport

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has invested over Rs.500 mn in phases to create aviation infrastructure in Jalgaon, which has the second biggest airport in North Maharashtra after Nashik. Currently, commercial flights operated by Trujet operate from the airport, and the number of flights per week is limited. A private airline is planning to connect Jalgaon with Pune and Indore. The airport has also established a new equipment that will provide navigation information to pilots. The AAI has also provided Jalgaon airport with state-of-the-art crash fire-fighting equipment imported from Austria.
