AAI targets capital outlay of Rs.910 bn in the airport sector

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) and other airport developers are targetting an estimated capital outlay of around Rs.910 bn in the airport sector in the next five years for airport expansion and modification of the existing terminals, new terminals and strengthening of runways, and others. AAI has undertaken the upgradation and modernisation of airports and other airport developers from time-to-time depending on the availability of land, commercial viability, socio-economic considerations, traffic demand, and the airlines' willingness to operate from  such airports.
