AAI to carry out feasibility study for Puri airport

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has been asked to carry out a pre-feasibility study for an international airport near Puri town, for which the Odisha Government has identified land close to the town. A meeting was held between the Civil Aviation Secretary, officials of the Odisha Government, AAI and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in January in connection with the proposed project, during which AAI was asked to carry out a pre-feasibility study of the site based on the data provided by the state government.
