Construction work of Ayodhya airport begins

The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has begun work on the Maryada Purshottam Sriram Airport in Ayodhya in poll-bound Uttar Pradesh. 

Construction bids were finalised a long time ago, and Bengaluru-based Vishal Infrastructure, which won the bid for building the runway, has begun work under the supervision of AAI. Reportedly, Rajeev Kulshreshtha, the AAI's project in-charge, and three other officials have already taken over. The director of the Ayodhya airport has already been appointed along with two assistant general managers.
