The Delhi airport, operated by the Delhi International
Airport (DIAL), has introduced an e-boarding facility at all its terminals for
passengers. The terminals have contactless e-boarding gates and boarding card
scanners. The passengers can flash their boarding cards to verify flight
details and proceed with security checking. The e-boarding gates are available
at Terminal 3 and Terminal 2 and not at Terminal 1. DIAL said that it would
reduce the touching of facility and interaction among people in this period of
the Covid-19 pandemic and also reduce the boarding time.
