Delhi-Katra Expressway to slash travel time between Delhi and Vaishno Devi

The Delhi-Katra expressway project was announced in August, and has already commenced. On completion, it would reduce the travel time between Delhi and Katra to six and a half hours. Also, the travel time between Jammu and Delhi would be reduced to six hours. Apart from Katra, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Kapurthala and Jalandhar in Punjab are important cities that would be covered by the corridor. The project is estimated to be completed by 2023 at a cost of Rs.350 bn.
