HDFC Bank okays Rs.5 bn loan for Jewar airport project

HDFC Bank has signed an agreement to provide a Rs.5 bn as a loan for the Jewar Airport project. The tenure of the loan is five years and it will be used for land acquisition and infrastructure development for the upcoming airport. The authorities plan to raise funds for the project by issuing infrastructure bonds. Noida International Airport (NIAL) will be responsible for its overall management. Zurich Airport International recently signed a concession agreement to design, build and operate the airport for 40 years.
