Jewar airport gets security clearance from BCAS

The Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) has given its clearance to the Noida International Airport to be developed in Jewar. The BCAS is the regulatory authority for civil aviation security in the country and comes under the ministry of civil aviation. The UP government had also approved a proposal for land acquisition for the second phase of the project. The airport will be developed in four phases. A total of 1,334 hectare has been acquired for the first phase. For the second phase, 1,365 hectare will be acquired, while 1,318 hectare for phase 3 and 735 hectare for phase 4 will be acquired. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida), has started preparations forĀ 
the foundation programme of the airport.
