Launchpad set to take off at India's second rocket port

The land survey has been completed for 431.87.74 hectare out of 961.66.90 hectare identified and a preliminary notification issued for the construction of India's second rocket launch port in Tamil Nadu's Thoothukudi district. The Government of Tamil Nadu has identified land in Kulasekarapattinam in Thoothukudi for setting up the launch port. One launch pad
is proposed at the site at present. Survey work for the balance area is reportedly at an advanced stage.
