NHAI okays four-laning of Pathankot -Mandi highway

NHAI has given clearance to the Rs.80-bn Pathankot-Mandi highway four-laning project. The authority has restarted the land acquisition process and will float a global tender for the construction of the first phase of the project between Pathankot and 32 mile in two months. The project has already been delayed by two years. A detailed project report was completed by Joint Ventures and Infrastructure Casta in 2016. As reported, the alignment of the new four-lane highway has been altered and now only a few stretches of the old highway will be used.
