Uttar Pradesh speeds up land acquisition for Gorakhpur Link Expressway

The Uttar Pradesh Government has expedited the process of land acquisition for its flagship 91-km expressway project in Gorakhpur. The mega project spanning four districts is estimated to cost more than `58 bn and is expected to benefit a population of 50 mn by providing a fast connectivity for the movement of people and goods. UP Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) has released `2.75 bn to speed up land acquisition for the project.
