Uttarakhand to get its first international airport at Pantnagar

The Uttarakhand Government has announced the construction of the state’s first international airport in Pantnagar. This is expected to boost tourism in the state. With the opening of the international airport, large passenger aircraft would also be also to operate from there.
It would also benefit local traders in Pantnagar. The airport will be constructed on around 1,100 acre of land and expanded in two phases. Construction of one runway is proposed in the first phase.
