BG, ONGC in talks on gas block deal

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is currently in talks with Britain based BG Group to sell stake in its gas discovery block off the East Coast. ONGC has discovered 3.42 tn cu ft in-place gas reserves in the block, of which 1.904 tn cf is recoverable. The company was in talks with few foreign firms including energy major BG Group with expertise to exploit deep sea discoveries.
