The Haryana government plans to construct 182 new substations of different levels and augment the capacity of 105 existing substations at the cost of Rs 4,569 crore during the next 36 months. The latter will ensure that the electricity generated is transmitted and distributed at the proper voltage through an unstressed system of adequate capacity. The government also plans to invest Rs 350 crore in Sirsa. Under this plan, the power utilities will construct 21 substations, each one of different levels.
