Maharashtra to cut power tariff

The state government has plans to reduce power tariff. The government had appointed a sub-committee, headed by Industry Minister Narayan Rane, to look into power tariff related issues. The committee has submitted its report on the issue of further subsiding the tariff. The demand to reduce power tariff gained momentum after the Aam Aadmi Party Government in Delhi announced major relief to the people in the capital.
