ONGC to ease power woes in NE region

The electricity crisis in North-Eastern India (NE) is set to ease when ONGC's first mega power project, the largest in the region, will start generating power by April this year. The gas-based thermal power project will resolve the power crisis faced by various states. These include Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram and Tripura.
