Tuticorin Thermal Unit to Start by December

In Tamil Nadu, Tuticorin thermal power project's first unit of 1,000-MW (2 x 500 MW), which is under construction, is likely to be commissioned in December 2013 and the second unit by March 2014. The project is being implemented through a JV company, NTPL (Neyveli Lignite Corporation-Tamil Nadu Power Ltd).
