UPCL´s three units to produce 2,800 MW power by 2020

The Udupi Power Corporation Ltd (UPCL),?a subsidiary of Adani Power, has commenced acquisition of 724 acre to set up two more units of 800 MW each at a total cost of Rs 11,500 crore. Out of the 724 acre, the main plant will come up on 168 acre. While 280 acre will be set aside for a green belt and coal handling plant, 276 acre will be used setting up the ash pond. The project is expected to be completed by 2020.
