Wind powergear capacitymay cross 10,000 MW

As India is set to become a major market for wind power, the country is emerging as awind turbine manufacturing hub with global and domestic domestic majors continuing to beef up their operations in the country. The annual wind turbineproduction capacity inthe country is expected to cross 10,000 MW during the current financial year. As of 2012, 16 existing manufacturers have a consolidated annual production capacity of over 9,500 MW.
