Vermeer has launched its VXT500 and VXT600 vacuum excavators into the market. The new offerings are a result of an agreement between Vermeer and Vacuum X-Traction. The agreement reportedly mentions for supplying Vermeer-branded truck-mounted vacuum excavators that will be sold exclusively through Vermeer industrial dealers. With an 8-inch vacuum hose and a spoil tank capacity of 8 cu yards, the VXT500 is aimed at the utilities market, particularly for potholing, to make exploratory holes to check for obstructions on a bore path.
