Civil aviation ministry shortlists sites for Chennai's second airport

The Ministry of Civil Aviation shortlisted two sites, Pannur and Parandu, to develop the second airport in Chennai and has referred them to the state government. Out of the four sites suggested by the government of Tamil Nadu, the ministry has shortlisted two sites. Pannur, Parandur, Tiruporur, and Padalam are the four sites shortlisted by the state government for the second airport. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has also reverted to the state government and are awaiting the answer on the final site to initiate the work soon on Chennai’s second airport.
