Under the Smart City mission, the Tiruchy Corporation has taken on 83 projects, of which 38 are finished. The civic group expressed assurance that the remaining projects would be finished by March 2023. Among the completed projects are the renovation of the Chathiram bus stand, a shopping centre, stormwater drainage work, and the creation of 16 parks. Among the remaining projects, the construction of a contemporary fish market, a truck terminal with space for 88 lorries, and a 2.4-MW solar power plant are some of the most important ones.
