MBL Road Map

MBL Infrastructure Ltd is engaged in the execution of civil engineering projects and provides integrated engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services for civil construction and infrastructure sector projects.

MBL has recently executed and commenced a number of praiseworthy projects in 14 different states in India. The company has successfully completed the execution of the BOT project of a 114 km long Seoni-Balaghat-Gondia state highway in Madhya Pradesh that is operational since February 2008. Some of the project categories carried out by the firm are listed below:

Highway construction
The company has executed and commenced a number projects in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Bengal.

Road operations and maintenance
India possesses the second largest road network in the world, which amounts to approximately 3.3 mn km, creating a significant opportunity in the area of road maintenance. The company enjoys an early mover advantage in this segment.

BOT projects
MBL is currently executing four other BOT projects in Madhya Pradesh including the Waraseoni-Lalbarra Road project, construction of Garra-Waraseoni upto the Maharashtra border 46.98 km road for MPRDC on annuity + toll basis and development and operation of the Bikaner-Suratgarh section of NH-15 (km 553/869 of NH-11 to km 173/000 of NH-15 via km 10/630 of NH-15) in Rajasthan.

Industrial infrastructure
The company is also engaged in industrial infrastructure development projects across the country. MBL was a part of the development of Haldia Petrochemicals in West Bengal. The company was also involved in the expansion of the IISCO steel plant in Burnpur, West Bengal where it constructed the road including the railway-over-bridge (ROB),connecting the steel plant from the national highway.

Housing infrastructure
MBL has completed the housing project at Rajiv Gandhi Thermal Power Project, Khedar-Hissar, Haryana and is currently executing 10 housing or building projects valuing Rs 4,069.62 million pan India.

Railway infrastructure
The company has entered into the railway sector as well, either independently or by forming JVs with domestic or foreign construction companies of repute. It has been awarded two work orders from Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) of Rs 4,15.71 million and 852.32 million respectively. It is also executing four ROB projects at Faridabad and Sonepat in Haryana.

Other infrastructure projects
The company is also foraying into urban infrastructure development, flyovers, residential and commercial complexes and mining. MBL also has ready mix concrete (RMC) and bitumen divisions to ensure adequate and timely supply of high quality RMC and bitumen mixes. It also has quarrying or mining divisions to ensure adequate and timely supply of bulk raw materials of stone aggregates.

Significant highlights

  • MBL was amongst the first batch of contractors to be awarded the contracts of prestigious North-South-East-West Corridor by NHAI and was the first to complete the project.
  • It was amongst the first batch of contractors to be awarded the contract for the maintenance of National Highways by NHAI.
  • The company was awarded the first ever contract for comprehensive maintenance of inner and outer ring road of NCT, New Delhi.
  • It has been awarded operation and maintenance of the 52.70 km of Kolaghat-Haldia section of NH-41 for a period of nine years by Calcutta-Haldia Port road company on revenue sharing basis. The project is being executed through a 100 per cent owned subsidiary, MBL (Haldia) toll road company.
  • MBL has over a decade´s experience in executing infrastructure projects as the prime contractor and has established its ability to deliver quality jobs within the budget and schedule.
