Mumbai is ready to have a new transportation system with the launch of state-of-the-art water taxi services. The services would be formally commissioned in January by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The project is a combined initiative of the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO), Maharashtra Maritime Board (MMB) and Mumbai Port Trust (MbPT). The two service operators will be West Coast Marine and Infinity Harbour Services. The two points from Mumbai for the services would be the Domestic Cruise Terminal (DCT) at Ferry Wharf and International Cruise Terminal at Ballard Pier.
