The proposed Anand Vihar RRTS station on the Delhi-Ghaziabad- Meerut RRTS line will be the only RRTS station built one level below ground level. This unusual station design will allow passengers to transfer seamlessly from one source of transportation to another. A conventional underground commuter station is being erected two floors below the surface, making it sufficiently deep. This station is being built top-down, which means that the ground level will be built first and then the underground level. With the aid of a (Sudarshan) Tunnel Boring Machine, four tunnels are being built for the corridor to allow for passage on both sides of the station, 35 m wide and 297 m long.
