The green-lighter

N Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister, Andhra Pradesh and Head of State Investment Promotion Board, means business - literally. He has recently approved three investment proposals worth Rs 9,200 crore: Two Greenfield cement plants, one in Dachepalli in Guntur district and the other in Petnikota in Kurnool district, by UltraTech cement of the Aditya Birla Group and a third cement plant by Ramco Group at Kolimigundla with a total capacity of about 12 mtpa. What´s more, the plants will generate employment for nearly 4,000 people directly, and many more indirectly. Naidu´s green-lighting is sure to cement Andhra Pradesh´s reputation as a state on the move.
