The Noida International Airport and Zurich Airport International AG on October 7, 2020, signed a concession agreement that would allow the Switzerland headquartered company to build and operate the Noida International Airport at Jewar for 40 years.
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) 5 October completed the acquisition of the Krishnapatnam Port Company Limited (KPL) in Andhra Pradesh for an enterprise value of Rs 120 billion but at a lower enterprise value compared with the deal that APSEZ signed with KPL at the beginning of the year. Present enterprise value is 13 per cent lower than the original deal value of Rs 135 billion.
After winning the bid to build the project recently, officials of Zurich Airport International on January 15 reportedly visited the project site and discussed the master plan with the brass of the Noida International Airport (NIAL). It is known that the Swiss company would soon apply to the Union home ministry for a safety clearance for the airport project, work on which is set to start in February this year, as per a Proptiger.com report
As a final go-ahead, keeping in mind the recommendations and bid offerings, the Uttar Pradesh Government has given its approval to the proposal that allows ZAI to construct and operate the upcoming airport.
