1.Anand Vihar metro line opens

The new Anand Vihar Metro line got the mandatory approval from the Commissioner for Metro Safety (CMRS). With the opening of the new stretch, the existing line 3 (Dwarka sector 9 to Noida city centre) will fork after the Yamuna Bank station, with one going to Noida and the other to Anand Vihar.


2.Pune division seeks Rs 2,500 cr for road development

To develop a road network of 24,569 km in Pune division comprising Pune, Satara, Sangli, Solapur and Kolhapur districts the Pune Divisional Commissionerate has sought Rs 2,500 crore from the Centre and the State governments. In a move that may further delay the reopening of the Airport Express Metro Link, the Commissioner of Rail Safety (CMRS) asked for additional load test to be carried out on the corridor. CMRS has asked the Delhi Metro to carry the load test for at least 15 girders and submit clarifications. It is learnt that usually the load test is conducted only on one girder

6.DC asks NHAI to speed up work on Jaipur expressway

Gurgaon Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner PC Meena reviewed the progress of the six-laning of Gurgaon- Kotputli-Jaipur Expressway on January 2 and asked the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the concessionaire Pink City Expressway (PCEPL) to complete the work in a time-bound manner.

Discussions were held for expediting the widening of National highway at Pantha Chowk besides the removal of encroachments and other bottle necks including popular trees and shifting of utilities across the road.


10.Safety probe completed on Delhi Airport Metro corridor

In Delhi, the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) completed a mandatory safety inspection of the high-speed Airport Metro Express Corridor. The 23-km corridor,connecting the city's business centre Connaught Place with Terminal-3 of the IGI Airport.
