The Tamil Nadu Cabinet has reportedly approved 11 projects involving investments worth over Rs 200 billion. Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) are expected to be signed for the these projects at the Global Investors’ Meet (GIM).
As per reports, the land acquisition process for the expansion of the Tiruchi airport is progressing swiftly. The process includes acquisition of land spanning about 350 acre, including wet lands, which recently began after grants from the state administrative section were sanctioned.
In light of the two-month standoff between the Indian and the Chinese military near Doklam, the defence ministry has reportedly announced its decision to boost infrastructure along the border. This was decided in the Army Commander’s conference where the security challenges along the border were discussed.
