As reported, the Telangana Government, in a bid to improve the state’s road infrastructure, has spent around Rs 120 billion towards developing better connectivity across the region since its conception.
The Andhra Pradesh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, is set to call for fresh tenders for the completion of construction of the Polavaram irrigation project on the Godavari river.
The Central Government has reportedly approved an amount of Rs 2 billion for the railway line between Kotipalli and Narsapuram. Besides, in the last four years, nearly Rs 10.30 billion was reportedly sanctioned to the railway line in Andhra Pradesh.
The first phase of the mega Polavaram project on the Godavari will be completed by the Andhra Pradesh government with the assistance of the Union Government. This will release water even into the left canal by 2018, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, reportedly mentioned.
Megha Engineering & Infrastructures has completed four major projects during the first quarter of this year with a total outlay of Rs 3100 crore, including an infra project in Tanzania and the major lift irrigation project of Pattiseema that links Godavari and Krishna rivers, and a project under Mission Bhageeratha.
