M Venkaiah Naidu´s up level three as he announces the third list of 27 cities that qualify under the Smart Cities Challenge (See list on page 86). With this, the total number of smart cities chosen has now increased to 60.
Adopting the city retrofitting approach, Imphal has been developed with the help of smart mobility, modern facilities and other smart features. Selected in the second round of the Smart Cities Challenge, the core vision statement for Imphal Smart City was 'Urban Revitalisation and Regeneration'.
