In the last fiscal, the South Central Railways has achieved an eight per cent increase in freight loading due to increased movement of coal and fertilisers. The zone handled 111.5 million tonne of cargo during the year against 103.2 mt in the previous year.
As two road under bridges (RuBs) are expected to come up at East Anandbagh and Vajpai Nagar in Hyderabad, traffic woes of residents of Malkajgiri and surrounding areas may end soon. South Central Railway (SRC) in Hyderabad plans to complete the construction of 17 road overbridges (RoB) or underbridges (RuB) during the current financial year.
