As reported, the Telangana Government, in a bid to improve the state’s road infrastructure, has spent around Rs 120 billion towards developing better connectivity across the region since its conception.
In view of the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project, the Telangana Government is seeking to buy additional power of 2,000 MW from NTPC. This requirement will be reportedly from July to November this year.
The Telangana Government is set to increase the total capacity to 28,4000 MW from 16,506 MW in the next four to five years. Currently, projects with a total capacity of 11,600 MW are under construction.
To improve the conditions of major roads and ensure better mobility, the Telangana Government has embarked on a Model Corridor Development project, under which over 40 major roads in the city will be redesigned.
The Telangana Government has taken steps to raise a sum of Rs 10 billion by issuing bonds through Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), which will be utilised only for the development of the city.
The Telangana Government has allotted Rs 1,800 crore for the development of the ambitious Yadadri temple located about two hours from Hyderabad. According to reports, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandresekhar Rao wants the upcoming temple at Yadadri to be on par with Andhra Pradesh’s Tirumala, which is the country’s richest temple.
