Birla HomeTech plans to set up a cement factory in the Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh (AP). For this the plants has received an assurance from the state government to provide resources. The south-eastern Indian state is rich in minerals and the output from the cement plant has potential to be used by the government for infrastructure projects.

Abu Dhabi Gas Industries (GASCO) has awarded a lump sum turnkey contract to L&T for the engineering, procurement and construction work on a new gas pipeline. Schneider Electric India has bagged orders to supply turnkey solutions for three photovoltaic solar power plants of 22.3 MW capacity in India.

3.Getaway Hotels to add four properties under Gateway brand in 2015

The Gateway Hotels, which now manages 25 properties across India, will add another four properties by the end of 2014. The current property, The Gateway Resort Damdama Lake Gurgaon is owned by developer Pawan Dhoot of Dhoot Infrastructure Projects and costs over Rs 100 crore.

Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) is seeking funding assistance from Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for its ambitious Rs 5,975-crore Bandra-Versova sea link project. JICA has been funding major infrastructure projects in the country at lower interest rates.
