Katerra, a leading design and technology driven global construction company, broke ground on its first fully integrated off-site manufacturing plant at Hyderabad recently. Projected to get completed by March 2020, the factory will deliver 8 million sq ft of building components every year through robotic assembly line production.
To set up a latest manufacturing plant in Jaipur, Mahindra World City, Jaipur, has signed a lease agreement with the Brazilian firm Perto S.A, a global manufacturer of automatic tellers machines (ATMs) and cash dispensing machines (CDMs). Perto, which is the first FDI customer for Mahindra World City, Jaipur, will set up its first fully integrated manufacturing facility in India on 26 acres within the domestic tariff area (DTA).
Lucky Cement, Pakistan’s largest cement maker and exporter, has evinced interest in setting up a manufacturing plant in India in the first such overture since New Delhi allowed foreign direct investment (FDI) from its western neighbour three months ago. Lucky Cement, which also has manufacturing units in Iraq and Congo, has been exporting the building material to India.
