In order to form a national grid connecting all ports, the government has decided to form a committee that will assess the development potential of around 150 non-major ports in the country and will subsequently link them with major ports. This interlinking will aid India’s growth in terms of its export- import (EXIM) cargo.
Reports indicate that KPMG, the financial consultant for the proposed international airport at Mopa in Goa, is working on the revenue model for the airport. The state government plans to implement the project on the public-private-partnership (PPP) model and it set up a special PPP cell for the purpose of handing such PPP projects
The Tuticorin Port Trust has sought an assistance of Rs 2,800 crore from Official Development Assistance of Japan to develop the Outer Harbour project, which was first proposed more than three years ago.
