Adani Enterprises will commence construction of two major solar projects in Australia next year, each with an output of 100-200 MW. Land agreements are in place for the projects in South Australia and Queensland, and Adani has commenced the design and tendering phases for both projects.
Cumulative solar installations in India have reached 8,643 MW as of September 2016. Mercom is forecasting solar installations to reach approximately 4.8 GW for calendar year 2016. So far installations in calendar year 2016 have reached 3.8 GW.
In order to develop 1,000 MW of solar projects under the SOURA programme, the Kerala Government has issued projects aggregating 200 MW. As reported, it has been proposed to float the tenders under two models, namely an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) tender and tariff-based competitive bidding.
