Tata Steel to commission Dhamra Port
Tata Steel Ltd plans to commission the first phase of the Rs 2,400 crore Dhamra Port in Orissa by July. The project is being developed by Dhamra Port Corporation Ltd (DPCL), a joint venture of Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T) and Tata Steel. The company will install two fully mechanised berths of 350 m each with a capacity to handle 27 mtpa in the first phase along with a backup facility to execute coking coal, steam coal, limestone imports and iron ore export.
