Centre to approve expansion of Gaggal airport

While uncertainty looms over the proposal to expand Shimla and Bhuntar airports, the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation is planning to expand the Gaggal airport of Kangra district. Short airstrips of Himachal Pradesh have remained a matter of concern for the state government as these have been restricting the landing of bigger planes, resulting in a huge loss to the tourism business.
