NITI Aayog is planning big! Under the stewardship of Amitabh Kant, CEO, the central planning body is going to put together a listing of 10 mega infrastructure projects that have the potential of being developed under the PPP mode. As per reports, the proposal to shortlist the 10 big projects on priority basis has been discussed during a recent NITI Aayog officials meet along with representatives from various states. The aim being to attract more investments into the sector, especially from foreign players, the list will consider details of projects provided by the states. Following the information collated from the states, the specific sectors where such projects can be pursued will be decided. NITI Aayog will provide its expertise in advising the states on developing infrastructure, especially in big projects, which is expected to help in streamlining the process and ensuring timely completion of big-sized projects.
