Railway´s premium Tejas brand train to debut in Feb 2017

The Railway´s most premium offering - the upmarket Tejas brand of trains - is likely to be commissioned by railways in February 2017, around the time of the Railway Budget. The first coach is likely to be completed by the end of August, according to officials of the Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, where the rake is being built. The Tejas train will run at speeds of 130 kmph and above, and is positioned for business travellers, who will be willing to pay more for superior travelling comforts.
