The Delhi Government has approved the alignments of the three Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) corridors. These corridors will connect with Panipat, Meerut and
Alwar. The Delhi-Meerut corridor will go through Anand Vihar and Sarai Kale Khan and would be supported by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). The cost of this
project is approximately Rs 72,170 crore. The centre will develop eight such corridors in the NCR.
